MATRIC RESULTS 2010

As indicated on the Home Page, South Peninsula had 191 candidates for the 2010 matriculation exam, all of whom passed.

The eight students who achieved A aggregates were Tyrone van Balla, whose achievements are highlighted on the Home Page; Sandy Cupido       (84,9%), with distinctions in Afrikaans, Mathematics, Life Orientation (LO), Accounting, Computer Applications Technology (CAT) and Economics (98%); Nadia Darries (84,7%), with distinctions in Mathematics, LO, Engineering Graphics and Design (EGD) (96%), Life Sciences, Physical Sciences and Visual Arts; Zubeida Patel (84,1%), with distinctions in Mathematics (93%), Physical Sciences (90%), LO, EGD and Life Sciences; Lindsey Sadie  (84,0%), with distinctions in Afrikaans, Mathematics, LO (91%), Life Sciences and Physical Sciences; Tarryn de Kock (80,4), with subject distinctions in English, Afrikaans, LO, Dramatic Arts and Economics; Tabassum Zalgaonkir (80,4%), with distinctions in Mathematics, LO, EGD and Life Sciences; and Chernize Leedenberg (80,0%), with distinctions in Mathematics, LO, Accounting and CAT.

In addition to these, other students who had noteworthy achievements were Sashin Adams, with 4 distinctions, in Afrikaans, Mathematics, LO and Life Sciences, Kristeena Mushfieldt (91% in Design), Chane Wentzel (92% in LO) and Andre Thebus (90% in EGD).  

There were 49 students who obtained A’s in Life Orientation, 15 in Mathematics, 14 in Mathematical Literacy,  11 in Life Sciences, 9 in Engineering Graphics and Design, 8 in Economics, 7 in Afrikaans, 5 in Physical Sciences, 3 in Design, Dramatic Arts and English, 2 in Accounting, CAT and Visual Arts, and 1 in isiXhosa and Additional Mathematics  - 135 subject distinctions altogether.
