RUGBY
Two teams, u/16 and u/19, were entered in the schools Legends Cup league for the 2010 season. This competition is a project launched by the SA Rugby Legends Association, Department of Culture and Sport, Vulindlela Rugby Club, Ubumbo, UCTRFC, the Department of Education and the Western Province Rugby Football Union, and is endorsed by SA Rugby. The matches form part of the "VUKA and Mega 10 Tournaments". One of the prominent personalities associated with the project is former Springbok player Dale Santon.
April 22
The new season got off to the best possible start with victories for both age groups. The u/16s beat Windsor High 24-0, while the u/19s beat Heathfield 35-5.

April 29
The u/16s were in action this week, meeting Grassy Park. They were on the receiving end of a 22-5 scoreline. The defeat was attributed to an over-emphasis on individual play, and a lack of fitness, which led to two late, match-deciding tries.
May 4
The u/19s played Fairmount and, on a rainy, blustery day, performed beyond expectations. With a squad decimated by injuries and players attending regional trials, SP could field only 11 players. Nevertheless, they faced both the elements and the opposition bravely and defiantly. The final score: 33 - 19 in SP’s favour! An outstanding performance!
June 3
In a showpiece event, with representatives of the organisers and sponsors in attendance, and with Supersport TV cameras recording the matches, our two teams took on neighbours Wynberg Senior Secondary. The timing of the match was such that the entire school was able to support their players, who rose to the occasion, comfortably beating their opponents.
June 7
Both teams had convincing victories over Ocean View, with the u/19s winning 32 - 5, and the u/16s 22 - 0.
July 22
The u/19 boys played against Heathfield High and routed them completely, winning 52 - 0.
