THE STUDENTS’ REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL
Formed in the early 1980s, in response to the increasing demand for more student power in the turbulent political times post-1976, the SRC still thrives and plays an important part in the life of South Peninsula.
The current Chairperson is Kaylin Lewin and the vice-Chairperson is Ulfhat Banderker. The rest of the Executive Committee are Kim-Lee Siebritz (Secretary), Taariq Logday (Assistant Secretary), Thania Higgins (Treasurer), Tashriq Pandy (Assistant Treasurer), Laa’iqa Holliday, Aneeqa Baker, Kim Smith and Achmat Tambay (Project Planners).
