THE STUDENTS’ REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL
Formed in the early 1980s, in response to the increasing demand for more student power in the turbulent political times post-1976, the SRC still thrives and plays an important part in the life of South Peninsula.
In May this year, after a week-long campaign, followed by elections, Kim Smith was elected SRC Chairperson for 2010/11, while Zaahir Simpson was elected as vice-Chairperson. Garth Kallis was the other candidate. The full list of Class Representatives for 2010 will follow shortly.
